The wonderful blogger at Food My Drug of Choice was kind enough to choose me for this award.
These are the award’s rules:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award. Thanks FMDOC!!!
2. Share seven things about yourself. Coming up…
3. Nominate 15 newly discovered blogs. Sort of coming up, you’ll have to click on the links…
4. Let your nominees know about the award. Um, did it before and too lazy to do again, sorry =)
Seven things about me that I haven’t written yet…
1. I think I like taking my kids to see/watch Disney movies more than they enjoy the movies.
2. You know how everyone has at least one really bizarre or crazy thing/talent they can do? Not me, I don’t have one.
3. I’ve driven an SUV for a little over 10 years and I don’t think I could ever go back to driving a sedan. Why? Because I’m 5’3″ and I really like the idea of feeling somewhat tall at least at some point during the day.
4. I am the only person in my family who does not have curly hair.
5. I’m currently addicted to watching triathlons on TV.
6. In the summer, I like to paint my toenails or do an occasional splurge on a pedi. For some reason, I never do my fingernails. I think because I use my hands so much that the polish gets crapped up so quickly.
7. As a kid, I always thought it would be so cool to wear glasses. Fast forward to my late 30′s, guess who actually needed them?
and one for good luck…
8. I have never colored my hair. The grays are starting to come in though, so I see hair coloring in my future…
I think via other awards I’ve been lucky enough to be the recipient of, I have probably already nominated most of the other blogs I enjoy reading. I apologize if I’ve not mentioned you! You can see the blog lists here and here.
Last, and certainly not least, a shout out to Katie at “Health for the Whole Self” for her awesome giveaway. Check it out here.

You crack me up about the SUV height connection. I literally laughed out loud and said me too!! I’m 5’2″ and I love feeling tall in my SUV
I’m with you on the fingernails…the paint just chips off in an hour anyhow. Why is it that toe nail paint stays on? So weird….

that is too funny that you think the same way about both things!!! i guess it’s because we use our hands so much on the computer, cooking, making calls, doing laundry, carrying groceries, doing dishes, shall i go on? =)

around my area, pennsylvania, the station is called “US” which stands for “united sports network.” i think it’s an independent station. they broadcast other sports like rowing, swimming, triathlons and paid programming for workout dvds, etc.

#3 – at 5’1″, I feel your wanting to be “up there”!
#4, I so wish I did not have curly, frizzy hair! Mine is the curliest in the family….. maybe if it did not frizz like a finger in a light socket, I would like it better but frizz is a mainstay no matter what & how much product I use….
Loved this list.. how fun!
PS: I am at a point now that if I could afford it, I would color my hair every 3 weeks! UGH!

I also am the only girl in my family with straight hair…. my mom and sister have really curly hair, and two of my brothers have the same. It’s so crazy.

like you needed another reason to love your suv! =)
it is crazy! my husband and two kids have curly hair. i had no idea that curly was the dominant gene because i grew up in a house of straight-haired people!

Number 3 made me laugh. When I took drivers ed “back in the day”, I had to sit on a cushion in order to see over the steering wheel in my driver instructor’s car. Feeling tall is fun!

Hello! Thanks for commenting to my comment on Healthy Girl. I also adore Disney movies! One day I will have kids of my own to drag to these movies. I actually really want to buy the Toy Story 3 toys at Target for myself.

i found them while scouting the dvr for triathlons to watch. i discovered a network called “US” which stands for “united sports network” and it airs extreme sports, swimming, rowing and other off-the-beaten-path kind of stuff.
